Most marketers have learned that their audience tends to be fairly blind to advertisements that are trying to overtly sell you something. If you want to keep people from scrolling past your ad, you’re wise to create content that connects with your target audience by offering them entertainment or interesting information.
Target 1-2 Per Article – until you can successfully rank for 1 keyword for an article, don’t try targeting 2. Once you get the hang of it and are ready to write an article around 2, choose a secondary keyword that is a synonym of your primary keyword. An example would be “Slow WordPress Site” and “Why Is WordPress Slow.” Then craft your article title/SEO title/meta description to mention individual words of each – while making them read nicely.
Is it a blog or website? If it’s just a blog, I usually don’t like a homepage blogroll – I prefer an actual page telling you what the website is about (eg. for me it’s just listing all my tutorials). But ya, StudioPress is where I’d go.

A personal example is a post I just did about two competing golf technologies Game Golf and Arccos Golf. They both do variations of the same thing, but no one had played as many rounds with both systems as I had. So I created a definitive post which has sent a lot of traffic, and a few sales, my way over the last couple weeks.
While this is the extreme end of the YouTube success spectrum, there are still plenty of ‘everyday’ people who are using YouTube successfully to generate a healthy monthly income and advertisers selling out their products using these powerful influencers.
If you want to make some money fromYouTube with your affiliate program, you must use small affiliate links. Most of the affiliate links are so long. Hence long affiliate links will look ugly when you add them to your product review video. For this reason, ensure that the links you use for your YouTube marketing are short to make it easy and straightforward for your viewers to click on and be directed to your product.
Remember: Purchasing generic content is NOT an effective method to build your site. While it may be tempting to populate your site this way, in the long run it won’t help you to position yourself as an expert in your niche (and ultimately means less traffic and fewer sales).
One of the most natural ways to include affiliate links on YouTube is to do honest product reviews. Let’s say you start a YouTube Channel focused on fitness. You could create videos reviewing products like Fitbit, exercise equipment, and other gear people who work out would find useful. Then you could link to the product on Amazon and potentially earn a commission if someone makes a purchase.
The final component that completes the affiliate relationship triangle is the consumer. The consumer is the one who actually sees the ad and then makes an action (either by clicking a link or by submitting their information via a form) that takes them from the publisher’s website to the advertiser’s to complete the action, which we call a conversion.
Pay Per Sale or PPS – where companies pay a percentage of all sales that are qualified. These could be a percentage which was agreed by the company and it’s affiliate. Among the most common PPS program is the Amazon Associates where a publisher can earn up to 15% depending on the products that were sold. Here’s a list of places where you can find products to promote.

Hey Martin, sounds like you might want to try Shakr. Their basic plan starts out at just $49 (Standard is $99) which is pretty affordable as video editing tools go (and definitely cheaper than hiring someone). It’s very tailored for small businesses’ social media marketing videos and they have lots of templates you can use to get up and running. Let me know what you think!
Don’t take a vague approach and hope you’ll be able to convince people to take certain action. That won’t happen if you overwhelm them, even if the video itself is creative. Make a shortlist of what you aim to accomplish, then cut it down to a narrowed list. Then use that list to select what you want the audience to do and use it as a CTA.
If you are not utilizing video ads on Facebook, you are missing out on a huge opportunity. Advertising has always been visual, but when you augment video content with the power to target your ideal audience the impact can be huge. Facebook’s Newsfeed algorithm is placing a lot of weight on videos, and for good reason.
If you’ve used the traditional paid Facebook Ads before, you already know how great they are. They reach your target customer and you’re constantly getting likes on your page when the ads are active. The Video Ads are much better, mainly due to the auto-play feature. As the Facebook user scrolls down the feed, your ad suddenly starts playing and you get a chance to capture their attention and show exactly what benefits they will get from your business.
Applicable strategies: Continue to look outside your core offers to find additional solid-earning products and services. Seek to identify additional smaller-earning offers that also sell consistently.
Global brands need to take this into consideration. Use analytics to help you understand the demographics of your audience, and keep an eye out for where large fan bases live. From there you can target your Page posts by location or language.
You don’t need a professional video studio to produce a commercial that looks professional with the various simple video editing tools out there. And adding even basic effects is one of the best ways to increase the conversions and engagement on the videos that you make.
Great article. The Azon theme is pretty amazing for Amazon niche sites. If you want, check out the site listed with this post to see how I utilized the Azon theme. Still, I have a little bit of wrap up work. Great post, once again.
Personally I think affiliate marketing is one of the best business models out there at the moment. If you can cultivate an emotional connection with a target audience through product advertisement then you can make a heck of a lot of money.
The advertisement doesn’t just directly target Star Wars attractions at Walt Disney World, though it might attract that audience. It also appeals to anybody with an interest in food or in the movie Star Wars. By using this tactic, the company can expand their reach but still appeal to people with an interest in their marketing message.
Market, market, market. Don’t rely on SEO or social media alone to drive people to your website or blog to take advantage of your affiliate recommendations. Understand who your target market is, where you can find it, and how you can entice it to your site.
If you promote say a product from Amazon, the cookie is only valid for 24-hours! Now lets say you have 50,000 visitors a month, realistically, 100-150 or so will click in (I say this from experience and from having seen many high-traffic blogs, who do affiliate marketing). Out of this 100-150 clicks, they usually have 1-3 sales per month. That’s it.
I’ve since built an Amazon affiliate niche site without too much difficulty, however the problem i have is driving traffic and ranking my site. So far the only way i’ve managed to do so is through google adwords and the cost is more than the profit….Do you have any tips on how to get more organic traffic to my site?
Making Money on YouTube doesn’t have to be limited to Adsense Monetization. You can actually make quite a bit of money on YouTube through affiliate marketing using sites like Amazon, Ebay or Web Hosting Companies.
So make sure to balance out your offers with lots of valuable non-promotional content. Every once in a while (say, every one in four emails) you can include a specific call to action to ask your readers to buy a product.
